What is Cycling Without Age?

Cycling Without Age is a worldwide movement that started in Copenhagen and aims to provide joy and vitality to older adults through the magic of the bicycle. Through the simple act of sharing a bike ride, it weaves a sense of community and gathers unique and invaluable stories, unlocked only by the wind and wheels.

We offer riders the ability to feel the wind in their hair, and connection with volunteer pilots of all ages. Rides range between 20 and 45 minutes, utilizing safe, gentle routes like protected bike lanes, paths, and quiet streets. Destinations include various parks, downtown SLO, and Cal Poly campus.

Bike SLO County’s Cycling Without Age program is made possible by the generosity of community members, enabling this program to be free for all. Check out our donation page here.
